The birth anniversary of Florence Nightingale, who started the Nobel Nursing Service, is being celebrated worldwide on May 12 every year as International Nursing Day. Due to the poor recovery of the medical system in the metros and big cities in the country, the number of nurses there is not as much a decreased as one in the smaller cities and villages. Florence was born on May 12, 1820. In memory of Florence, her birthday was celebrated every year on May 12 as 'International Nurses Day' (World Nursing Day). Florence, who has been ill and serving patients all her life, had her own childhood in the grip of illness and physical weakness.

History- For the first time, the proposal to celebrate 'Nurses' Day' was proposed by Dorothy Sutherland, an official of the US Department of Health, Education and Welfare. U.S. President D.D. Eisenhower recognized it to be celebrated. This day was celebrated for the first time in the year 1953. The International Council of Nurses celebrated this day for the first time in the year 1965.

It was decided in 1974 to celebrate the birth anniversary of the renowned 'Florence Nightingale', who started the nursing profession, on May 12 as International Nurses Day. It is said about Florence Nightengel that he has started circling the hospital at night with a lantern in her hands. In those days there were no electrical appliances, Florence was so worried about her patients that despite taking care of them all day long, she would still walk around the hospital at night to see if anyone needed them.

She has devoted her entire life to the service of the poor, the sick and the afflicted. At the same time, she gave the work of nursing a respectable place in society. Earlier, the work of nursing has been seen from the eyes of Hikarat. Florence's tireless efforts in the 1860s yielded a happy result in the establishment of the Army Medical School. In the same year, Florence established the Nightingale Training School. In the same year, Florence published a book called Notes on Nursing. This is the world's first book written for a nursing course.
