Kabul: The Taliban's draconian treatment of women has ignited a storm of condemnation from human rights organizations and the global community. 

The extremist group's oppressive measures have not only stifled the basic rights of Afghan women but have also prompted outrage from international bodies, including the United Nations, the United States, and the European Union.
