International Yoga Day: Baba Ramdev to hold camp in Glasgow

Edinburgh [Scotland], June 7 (NT): The Consulate General of India will commemorate the 4th International Day of Yoga in Scotland from June 15th to June 27th.

Yoga guru Ramdev who commonaly known as ‘Baba’ will also takes part and holds a Yoga Camp in Glasgow.

Frank Ross, Lord Provost of Edinburgh said, "Happy to be hosting the event. We welcome everyone."

Days ahead of the International Yoga Day a curtain raiser event was took place in Dehradun on Thursday.

 Worth mention here Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his UN address recommended the date of June 21, as it is the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere. The date shares special importance in many countries.

Yoga guru Ramdev and Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat  will also take part in the event.

Ramdev and the Chief Minister along with other participants also rehearsed for the International Yoga Day, which will be celebrated all across the globe on June 21.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also likely to take part in the event.

 As Yoga which is a physical, mental and spiritual practice help to live stress free life International Yoga Day on 21st  June was declared across the world by the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
