Ranchi: PM Modi will attend the International Yoga Day celebrations to be held here on Friday, with preparations being held in Jharkhand at a peak. The event will be held at Prabhat Tara Maidan. Prime Minister Modi will participate in the Yoga session with 18 thousand people including Jharkhand CM Raghuwar Das, Ministers and senior state officials.

It is believed that PM Modi will arrive here on Thursday night and stay at Raj Bhawan. Jharkhand Chief Secretary D.K. K Tiwari has instructed to complete the preparations keeping in mind the monsoon.  The monsoon is expected to arrive in the state by June 20. There will be 40 sectors for yoga performers and 400 to 800 people will sit in each sector. Eight medical huts will also be constructed here. A Special Security Group (SPG) team has reached Ranchi to look into security issues.

According to government sources, four thousand security personnel and paramilitary forces will be deployed at Prabhat Tara Maidan in the state. The locals are excited to see PM Modi do yoga with him. Sunita Yadav, a local resident of Ranchi, said, "It is a matter of pride to do yoga with PM Modi. We are eagerly waiting for it and we hope to be able to take a selfie with Modiji."
