Internet services start again at Singhu, Tikri, Ghazipur

New Delhi: The Home Ministry had issued an order to suspend internet services on the Singhu, Ghazipur, and Tikri borders of Delhi till 12 noon on Saturday night in view of farmers' call for 'Chakka Jam'. Now Internet services have been started from today i.e. Sunday. Authorities have given information about this. The farmers are engaged in agitation on the Singhu, Ghazipur, and Tikri borders of Delhi to demand the repeal of the three new agricultural laws of the Center.

In such a situation, the officials have recently said that 'Apart from these three protest sites, Internet services will be suspended in the areas around them till 23:59 pm on February 6.' Simultaneously, a Home Ministry official has also said that 'This decision has been taken to maintain public safety under the Temporary Suspension of Telecom Services (Public Emergency or Public Safety) Rules, 2017.' Apart from this, another official also said that 'Internet services have been suspended on Saturday in view of' Chakka Jam 'call of farmer unions.'

If you know, earlier the orders were given to suspend internet services in Singhu, Ghazipur, and Tikri Borders and its surrounding areas from 11 pm on January 29 to 11 am on January 31. Thereafter the period of suspension of Internet services was extended to two February. You may be aware that after the violence on 26 January, internet services were temporarily suspended in some parts of Delhi.
