Lucknow: Now the investigation of suspicious Waqf properties is going to start. So far, the Sunni Waqf Board has identified and mapped more than two thousand Waqf properties. Mapping has been done up to the village level. During this, many such properties have been found which were once registered with the Waqf Board, but are no longer at those addresses. Muslim Yatimkhana also has many waqf properties. After raising doubts, now a team will investigate it today i.e. on Saturday (February 4).

Let us tell you that the mapping work of Waqf properties is going on for the last one year. Due to the non-availability of this work at the expected speed, 100% mapping has not yet been done. Boards have not been put up outside all waqf properties. In fact, the board had given instructions that along with writing complete details about the Waqf property, the name of the Mutawalli, etc. would also have to be written on them, but this work is still incomplete. 2,237 Sunni Waqf properties have been identified in the entire Kanpur (including rural areas). In this, information about waqf mosques, dargahs, graveyards, houses, etc. has been recorded. In many areas of the city like Dalelpurwa, Nawabganj, Talaqmahal, etc. there are many such properties that are waqf but are not available in the records

This fact has also been included in the investigation that somewhere the Waqf land has been sold and land has been given in lieu of it at another place. Muslim Yatimkhana also has many waqf properties. Various complaints regarding these properties were sent to the Waqf Board. Now a team of Waqf Board will reach here on Saturday. Will investigate all the Waqf properties attached here. Also, there are allegations of selling properties. The complaint was made to the UP Central Waqf Board.
