The Match 50 of VIVO IPL 2018 will be locked in a contest for two crucial points which will be played Mumbai Indians and Kings XI Punjab at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.

There are Five teams who will contest for the two remaining playoff spots. Punjab are currently fifth place  and one place above Mumbai Indians in the eight-team table.

In the 11th season of IPL 2018 KXIP have six wins from 12 matches, while Mumbai have five wins from the same number of matches.

Initially KXIP were table-toppers, but have since slipped down the table gradually. Punjab had five wins in their first six matches, but has marked only one win in their next six matches.

Most recently, on Monday evening, Punjab received a proper pounding at the hands of Kohali-led Royal Challengers Bangalore in which first, they were all out for 88 runs in 15.1 overs, and then they allowed RCB to attempt to a 10-wicket win.
