In the second round of IPL 2021 on Saturday, Rajasthan Royals have retained their fears of reaching the playoffs by defeating Chennai Super Kings by a margin of 7 weekends. In the do-or-die match, Rajasthan batsmen put up a brilliant performance to chase down the target of 190 runs in 17.3 overs. The heroes of Rajasthan's victory were Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shivam Dubey.

Jaiswal started the team with 50 off 21 balls. Shivam Dubey finally hit an unbeaten 64 off 42 balls to take Rajasthan beyond the threshold of victory. Chasing a grand target of 190 runs to win, Rajasthan were given a great start by Evin Lewis and Yashasvi Jaiswal. Both took Rajasthan beyond 50 runs in just 4 overs. The duo added 75 runs for the team in 5 overs. Evin Lewis fell to Shardul Thakur on the second ball of the sixth over and returned to the pavilion.

Jaiswal also completed his fifty off just 19 balls. But he too could not convert their innings into a big score. He also returned to the pavilion off Asif on the first ball of the ninth over. He scored 50 off 21 balls. Shivam Dubey, who came in to bat at number four after the two openers lost, took the lead and ran with Sanju Samson to take his team to the victory. Ruturaj Gaikwad from losing side CSK got Man of the Match for his brilliant century in just  60 balls.
