New Delhi: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) star all-rounder Sam Curran has said that he is disappointed as he enjoys spending time with the Chennai franchise after he was ruled out of the remainder of the second leg of IPL 2021 due to an injury. Curran complained of back pain after the match against Rajasthan Royals (RR) on October 2. He didn't bat too.

The scan revealed the injury, after which he was ruled out of the IPL as well as the T20 World Cup. This was Curran's second match in the second phase of IPL 2021. He played nine matches this season, taking nine wickets and scoring 56 runs in four innings. Curran told CSK's website, "Unfortunately I have got the bad news that I will not be able to play in the rest of the IPL season and the World Cup. Very disappointed, loved spending time with Chennai this season. The team is doing very well.''

He said that the team is playing very good cricket. I want to support my team from where I am in the next few days. Once all this is over, I will definitely come with the team I am sure they will go ahead and win the trophy. Curran said that ''I want to thank the fans of CSK. I am overwhelmed by the support I have received over the past two seasons. I will come back strongly.''
