There are a large number of cricket fans in the country, in the IPL 2021, only 5 matches have been held so far and almost all matches have resulted in a very exciting final ball. One such match was played at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Tuesday 13 April, where the reigning champions Mumbai Indians (MI) defeated Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by a close margin of 10 runs.

This was a match in which Kolkata got the match in hand and went to Mumbai and gave it as a gift. The Kolkata batsmen's poor performance in the final overs, and then Mumbai's tight bowling, snatched the match from KKR's grip. Not only KKR fans were saddened by this defeat, but the team owner and also Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan could not hide his grief.

KKR started the match well. Initially, the team's spinners kept Mumbai tied, while in the middle and final overs, the fast bowlers kept Mumbai from scoring big. In reply to the target of only 153 runs, openers Nitish Rana and Shubman Gill started well for KKR, but even after being caught in the match, playing a bad shot in the last 6 overs, this team surprised the simple-looking victory. KKR required only 31 runs from the last 30 balls, while 7 wickets were in hand, but even Dinesh Karthik and Andre Russell could not reach the team victory and had to lose by 10 runs. After such a performance of the team, Shah Rukh Khan expressed his grief by tweeting and also apologized to the fans. Shah Rukh said, "Kolkata Knight Riders' very disappointing performance. All apologies to the fans".
