New Delhi: The Indian Premier League (IPL), the world's largest cricket league, has got a new title sponsor.  The TITLE sponsor of the TATA Group IPL will be from 2022. That is, this tournament will now be known as 'TATA IPL'. TATA has replaced Chinese company Vivo. IPL chief Brijesh Patel has told the media that from 2022, TATA will be the title sponsor of the IPL, replacing chinese company Vivo.

The Governing Council met IPL today on Tuesday to take several important decisions. In the same meeting, it has been decided to make Tata the title sponsor of the IPL, with the letter of intent handed over to the CVC group that bought the Ahmedabad team. Vivo bought ipl title sponsorship rights in 2018. For this, the company had to pay Rs 440 crore per year to the BCCI. This contract of Vivo was for the year 2022. The Vivo also had to take a break for a year when protests erupted in the country last year due to the Indo-China dispute.

Tell me IPL 2022 is going to be extremely special in many ways. Because this time IPL is scheduled to have a mega auction, as well as the title sponsor of the Vivo will be the last year. Not only that, IPL will soon get a new media sponsor, as the IPL contract with the star will also expire by 2022.
