IPS Reshuffle: 12 IPS officers transferred in Uttar Pradesh

Uttar Pradesh: Around 12 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers have been transferred by the Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh. IPS officers who had been posted in the districts for a long time have been reassigned. Mohit Agarwal, the Inspector General of Police (IGP) of Kanpur, has been transferred to Lucknow as the Inspector General of Police Technical Services, according to the official release.

Prashant Kumar, who had been on the waiting list, has been appointed as Kanpur's new Inspector General of Police. Nachiketa Jha has been appointed as the Inspector General of Police in Agra, while Naveen Arora, the Inspector General of Police in Agra, has been transferred to Lucknow. Yogesh Singh has been assigned to the General 25th Corps PSC Rae Bareli from the 47th Corps PSC Ghaziabad. SP Technical Services Lucknow has been transferred to Dr Arvind Bhushan Pandey. Sanjay Singh has been transferred to the post of Commander II Corps PSC Sitapur.

According to sources, more transfers are expected to be affected in this week before the assembly elections. The revision of voter list is starting from November 1 and the state election commission has asked the state government not to transfer key officials during this period.
