According to a BBC report, Hunt said on Saturday that it raises very serious questions over the safety of British and international ships passing through the Hormuz Strait. On the other hand, India has said that it is in constant touch with Tehran to secure the release of the Indian sailors. Iran seized the British-flagged ship Stana Impero on Friday, employing Citizens of Indian, Russian, Latvian and Filipino countries as crew members.

Tehran said the ship was violating international waterway rules. After discussing the phone call with his Iranian counterpart, Hunt said that after the seizure of an Iranian tanker in Gibraltar, Iran saw it as 'Tit to tat' policy. But he said nothing can be beyond the truth.
