Iran: According to IRNA, the head of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization (AEOI) has called various anti-Iran claims by the US and Israel "psywar."

"We are fighting a campaign that is in no way willing to see Iran's scientific and technological advancement," Mohammad Eslami said on the sidelines of a ceremony in Tehran on Tuesday. He emphasized that all parties to the nuclear deal, officially known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), must follow through on their commitments, noting that the nuclear agreement is a treaty in which signatories have made pledges and Iran has accepted its obligations.

According to sources, US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin remarked in a meeting with Israeli Foreign Minister Benny Gantz on Thursday that Iran has failed to offer substantive diplomatic engagement in the discussions that US President Joe Biden had hoped would resume.

If the current American approach on Iran fails, Austin said Biden is "prepared to move to alternative options." Gantz, for one, called Iran "the greatest threat to global and regional peace and stability." The Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) was signed in July 2015 between Iran and the P5+1, under which the former agreed to make some changes to its peaceful nuclear program in exchange for the latter lifting international sanctions on Tehran.
