Jerusalem: On the one hand, Israel is trying to improve its relations with the United Arab Emirates and other Muslim countries to bring peace to Middle East Asia, but Iran does not seem to be a supporter of Israel's effort. Iran's top leader Ayatollah Khamenei has urged all Muslim countries to unite against Israel, saying fighting Israel is a common duty of the Muslim country.

Ayatollah Khamenei was addressing the public on National Quds Day, celebrated in Iran on the last Friday of Ramadan. Kuds is an Arabic word used for Jerusalem. Speaking on the occasion, Khamenei said Israel is a terrorist base not against one country but against Palestine and other Muslim countries. Khamenei said all Muslim countries should unite against Israel. He also said that it is the duty of all to fight Israel.

Israel's opposition is a major part of Iran's Islamic ideology, as Iran has neither recognized Israel nor has any interest in peace with Israel. Iran also supports Islamic radical groups in Palestine and the Lebanese in protest against Israel.
