IRCTC of Indian Railways is providing insurance of up to Rs 10 lakh in just 5 0 paise. IRCTC provides an insurance cover of up to Rs 10 lakh to passengers at a zero premium of 49 paise. You get this option while booking tickets on IRCTC online. If you have not paid attention to this till now, then let me tell you, while booking a train ticket from IRCTC website, you get the option of Travel Insurance. If you tick this option while booking your train ticket, then all the passengers travelling in that PNR (Passenger Name Record) will be travel insurance.
How to avail IRCTC Travel Insurance
Passenger will have to click on the section of travel insurance while booking tickets. After this, the passenger will get information about the policy through SMS. You will also be provided a link to file the nomination. After booking the ticket, the passenger will have to go to the insurance site and fill in the details of the nomination. According to IRCTC, passengers cannot cancel it after filling the premium. There will be no refund for this.

Only those Indians who get their tickets booking through IRCTC i.e. online website or app. This policy includes death, full disability forever, permanent disablement and hospital expenses in case of injury. The maximum cover will be Rs 10 lakhs. In this, Rs 10 lakh will be received on death or permanent total disability in case of railway accident. There will be a cover of Rs 7.5 lakh on Permanent Partial Disability. There will be a cover of Rs 2 lakh for hospital expenses. After the death, there will be a cover of Rs 10000 for the remainder of the transportation.
