IRCTC scam : Delhi's Patiala House Court issues production warrant against Lalu; Rabri, Tejasvi get bail

New Delhi: Delhi's Patiala House Court issued production warrant against the former chief minister and RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav for 6th October. Former Bihar deputy chief minister Tejashwi Yadav and former chief minister Rabri Devi appeared before the Delhi Patiala House Court on Friday in links with the Indian Railway and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) scam case. The Delhi court has granted bail to all accused, including Tejashwi and Rabri Devi and all have to furnish a  personal bond and surety amount of Rs 1 lakh each.

The CBI also asked for a production warrant against RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav in link with the case. The former Bihar chief minister Lalu did not appear before the court today as he is being served in Birsa Munda judicial custody in Ranchi. He surrendered earlier a day .

Both Rabri, Tejashwi and RJD chief Lalu Yadav have been accused in the charge sheet lodged in the case by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) prior this week.

CBI receives three weeks time to get sanction for prosecuting an accused in IRCTC case involving Lalu Prasad, others.

 The ED in its charge sheet also named Lalu's party associate PC Gupta, his wife Sarla Gupta, a firm Lara Projects and 10 others as an accused in Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) hotels tender case.
