NEW DELHI: Given the enormous potential for tourism in India, Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) launches packages offers packages to visit tourist destinations across the country.

Indian Railways has determined to operate “North East Discovery: Beyond Guwahati", a specially designed tour to cover the northeastern states of India by Bharat Gaurav Deluxe AC Tourist train.
The Ministry of Railways stated that the 15-day train tour will depart from Delhi's Safdarjung station on March 21, 2023, and stop in Guwahati, Sivasagar, Jorhat, and Kaziranga in Assam, Unakoti, Agartala, and Udaipur in Tripura, Dimapur & Kohima in Nagaland, and Shillong and Cherapunji in Meghalaya.
The journey, which will last for 14 nights and 15 days, will take in Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Tripura, and Meghalaya, among other states.
The journey will begin in Delhi (DSJ), then go through Guwahati, Naharlagun, Sibsagar Town, Furkating, Kumarghat, Agartala, Dimapur, then back to Delhi.
In order to promote domestic travel, the Government of India has launched the "Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train" and the "Dekho Apna Desh" programmes. The IRCTC tourist train will be a 15-day all-inclusive tour package with prices starting at Rs. 1,06,990 per person for AC 2 Tier, Rs. 1,31,990 per person for AC 1 (Cabin), and Rs. 1,49,290 per person for AC 1 (Coupe). The price will include train travel in the appropriate class, overnight stays in AC hotels, all meals (VEG ONLY), all transfers and sightseeing in buses, travel insurance, and guide services, among other things. The IRCTC will work to give visitors a safe and enjoyable experience, and all necessary health precautions will be taken care of, the ministry said.
