Patna: Irfan 'Chor,' popularly known as Robinhood in Bihar's Sitamarhi, is currently being searched by police in 12 states, while his wife Gulshan Parveen has won the Panchayat elections in Bihar. It was the villagers who reportedly asked Gulshan to contest after seeing Irfan's work and won by a huge margin when the results came in. Now Irfan and his work are back in the news in the media.

Irfan is seen as a social worker in his village. He steals in all corners of the country and helps those around him. He is known as Robinhood for building roads in his village, treating cancer sufferers, getting girls of the poor married. He says he started the theft 11 years ago. When he was unable to raise money for his sister's nikah, he stole, and when he was not caught, the theft increased, and then he sat in a Jaguar-like car and started stealing. He has cleaned the houses of big businessmen from Delhi to Goa. Irfan is fond of expensive clothes and vehicles. When he was arrested in 2017, he stole diamonds and gold jewellery from the house of a Delhi businessman. His girlfriend was an actress in Bhojpuri films.

He currently has 4 girlfriends whom he has told the police about. The four live in Agra, Aligarh, Sawai Madhopur and Mumbai. He has been arrested by the police recently for stealing crores of rupees at the house of a businessman in Kavi Nagar. More than 40 cases have been registered against him in 12 states of the country. Police reportedly went to his village (Gadh Jogia village in Papuri) in September in search of him but fled. Police had nabbed 11 gangs including his wife. He was later arrested when he went to the police station to rescue them.
