The security of Chhota Rajan, currently advanced in Tihar Jail, has been reviewed in the wake of an Intelligence report that Delhi's top gangster Neeraj Sehrawat alias Neeraj Bawana is plotting to kill the underworld don inside the high-profile prison.

As per the intelligence shared with Tihar Jail authorities, Bawana is plotting to eliminate Rajan at the instance of the Dawood Ibrahim's D-company.Reported that the agencies got a hint of the D-company's plan after one of Bawana's aides, who came out of bail in mid-November, "drunk-dialled" another gang member and spoke about the "big tasks" ahead. The information was then passed on to the agencies involved in the security of Rajan.

"The effect of the conversation was that Bawana may have been the connection by a conduit set up by D company to outsource the killing of their most sought-after target for the past two decades,".Bawana also intimated about the plot during a meeting with a visitor in jail, the daily mentioned a source as saying. Notably, Rajan and Bawana are lodged in the same jail (number 2), though in separate cells. In the aftermath of the inputs, Bawana has been shifted to an isolated cell.Tihar authorities have, however, claimed that a foolproof security apparatus was in place to secure Rajan.
