Are you expecting a second child? Have you thought about how you are going to share your love equally with both of your kids and from now what responsibilities you should teach to your elder child so that s/he welcomes the newborn with a big heart and take care of his/her without feeling less important to you? 

There are things you need to understand and teach your kid before welcoming the newborn in your life so that you can balance your attention between both your kids and the elder one doesn't feel ignored.

• Show your kid birth pictures/videos of yours and his/her own and tell him/her that how delicate a newborn is. It will make your kid understand that parent's little extra attention is required for the newborn and they are not ignoring him/her.
• Give examples of other siblings and inspire your kid for how to be protective for his/her newborn sibling.
• Invite your kid while communication with your newborn, it will help him/her understand how to entertain the newborn without touching him/her or by face expressions.  
• Teach your kid understand newborn's cry, expressions or body moves, it be of great help to the times when you are not around and your newborn needs you, his/her sibling will act as a messenger for you.
