Batting first, the Indian team scored 199 runs and Sri Lanka was bowled out for just 137 runs. The hero of the first match was opener Ishan Kishan, who played a knock of 89 runs.

Ishan Kishan played 56 balls and scored 89 runs in the first T20 match against Sri Lanka. In this innings, Ishan Kishan hit 10 fours and three sixes. Ishan Kishan scored runs at a strike rate of 158 during this period. Ishan also made many records in this innings, the special thing is that Ishan Kishan has also surpassed former captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Ishan Kishan holds the record for most runs in an innings for India in T20 cricket. Earlier, the record was held by Rishabh Pant, who played an unbeaten inning of 65 runs as a wicket-keeper batsman.
