In the latest episode of Ishqbaaz, Gauri's mother is seen with Shivaay. She shows him a picture of Gauri in her young days with a close friend of hers at the orphanage. She goes on to reveal that she adopted Gauri, whose real name is Chutki. Even though she took care of her like her biological mother, she feels she separated Gauri from her best friend at the orphanage.

Shivaay asks her about the name of her friend, but Gauri's mother tells him she doesn't know anything about her. Elsewhere, Anika wakes up from her dream thinking of Chutki. In her dream, she sees a woman taking her best friend away. Gauri's wedding celebrations begin. The groom's mother asks them to first complete the ritual where her son would carry her daughter-in-law to the temple in his arms and seek blessings from the lord. This will prove if he's strong enough to protect the woman in his life.

With Gauri in his arms, Ajay fails to reach the temple on time. Pundit Ji worries about the passing mahurat. Om offers to take charge, something which Ajay's mother strongly disagrees with. However, when everyone insists, she gives up and lets him do so. On their way, Om convinces Gauri to run away with him. And this time, she agrees.
