ISIS terrorist attack in NZ, stabbed 6 people after entering supermarket

Auckland: A terrorist attack took place at a supermarket in Auckland, New Zealand on Friday (September 3, 2021). New Zealand PM Jacinda Ardern herself has informed about this. She said, a terrorist inspired by the terror group ISIS stabbed six people in an Auckland supermarket on Friday. Police shot Hamalwar and dumped him after the incident.

 

 

"What happened today was highly condemnable, full of hatred and wrong," PM Ardern said of the ISIS angle in the incident. The attack was not carried out by any religion or ethnicity, but by a single person who was influenced by an ideology that no one here supports. Briefing about the attacker, PM Ardern said, "The terrorist was a Sri Lankan who came to New Zealand in October 2011. Since 2016, he was being monitored in the interest of national security. According to reports, the police commissioner said the attacker had been monitored for a long time and was recently seen traveling from his home to New Lin Supermarket, he had done so before. This time, however, he entered the shop, bought a knife, and attacked people.

The police commissioner said the attacker was shot dead in seconds of the attack. But, in the meantime, he had stabbed six people. This was a violent attack. The attacker was attacking everyone like a snob. Giving details of the case, Police Commissioner Andrew Coster has apologized for the same. The St. John's Ambulance Service said that six injured persons were taken to the hospital after being stabbed. Out of these, 3 are in critical condition.
