Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu wishes Happy Diwali to PM Narendra Modi

New Delhi: India celebrates its biggest festival – The festival of lights –Diwali today and leaders from across the world have started to extend warm greetings to Indians. In this wake Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu firstly wished Indians a happy Diwali.

 

“On behalf of the people of Israel, I would like to wish my dear friend @narendramodi and the people of India a joyous Diwali. May this luminous festival of lights bring you happiness and prosperity. Reply to this tweet with the name of the city where you’re celebrating!” the Israeli PM tweeted.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu posted the same message in Hindi as well.

Replying to his friend and Israeli counterpart’s warm wish for  Diwali greetings, PM Narendra Modi thanked “Bibi” and stated he would be spending this year’s Diwali as well with troops, like always.PM  Modi added that he would be sharing photos of his Diwali celebrations tomorrow.

“Bibi, my friend, thank you so much for the Diwali wishes. Every year, I visit our border areas and surprise our troops. This year too, will spend Diwali with our brave troops. Spending time with them is special. I will share photos of the same tomorrow evening. :) @netanyahu,” PM Modi replied.

Notably responding to Netanyahu’s special gesture of tweeting Diwali greetings in Hindi, PM Modi  also tweeted his reply in Hebrew as well.
