Jerusalem: Israeli PM Naftali Bennett has described India as a great friend during his meeting with Foreign Minister S Jaishankar on Wednesday. Bennett said his country loves India immensely and sees him as a good friend. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar is on a five-day visit to Israel. S Jaishankar also invited Israeli PM Naftali Bennett to visit India on Wednesday.

 

Israeli PM Naftali Bennett said, "We love India. We view India as a huge friend and we’re looking forward to expanding our relationship in all fields and all dimensions." Bennett and Jaishankar met to discuss strengthening Israeli-India friendship, bilateral and strategic ties. According to a statement issued by the Israeli Embassy in New Delhi, S Jaishankar invited Naftali Bennett to visit India on behalf of Prime Minister Modi.

In a meeting with Bennett, the External Affairs Minister said that India also has very strong sentiments on relations with Israel. Relations between the two countries are at a very important stage because so far all things have gone well for us. Now we will face the challenge of how to take our relationship to new heights.
