Chennai: India's space agency ISRO is all set to launch 2 soon. According to the Portal of Satish Dhawan Space Centre, GSLV is scheduled to be launched in August and PSLV in September, though the dates are yet to be announced. The orbit is normally meant for communication satellites through which large parts of the ground are covered.

It is being reported that 3 such satellites can cover the entire earth to a great extent. According to ISRO, the GISAT-1 will aim to capture images at short intervals in the region, take quick care of natural disasters. In addition, works like farming, forests, minerals, warning for disasters will also be included. On the date of launch of GISAT-1, ISRO Director Dr. Sivan said the launch date has not yet been officially fixed but preparations are underway for the same.
PSLV rocket is scheduled to launch in September. It is expected to carry earth observation satellite 4. The launch of GSLV and PSLV will be India's second and third launch this year. Earlier in February, brazilian earth observation satellites Amazonia-1 and 18 small satellites were introduced through a PSLV.
