Sriharikota: The ISRO (Indian Space Research Organisation) successfully launched 3 small satellites powered by its SSLV-D2 launch vehicle from Satish Dhawan Space Centre at Sriharikota.

The EOS-07, Janus-1, and AzaadiSAT-2 satellites were on board the launch vehicle, which was designed to place them into a 450 km circular orbit.

Its Small Satellite Launch Vehicle (SSLV), SSLV-D2, conducted this second development mission on February 10, 2023, at 09:18 IST.

SSLV offers "launch-on-demand" services for satellites weighing up to 500 kg into low Earth orbit. According to an ISRO release, "It offers minimum launch infrastructure requirements, low turnaround times, flexibility in hosting several satellites, and cheap cost access to Space."

It is set up with a velocity terminal module and three solid propulsion stages. It is a 34 m height, 2 m in diameter, and 120 it lift-off mass vehicle, according to ISRO. ISRO produced the EOS-07 satellite, which weights 156.3 kg.
The second test flight of the Small Satellite Launch Vehicle (SSLV) will be launched by the Indian Space Research Organization on Friday from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh. At 9:18 am, it will be launched.

During its 15-minute flight, the SSLV-D2 will try to launch three satellites into a 450 km circular orbit, according to the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO).

Observations are as follows:  SSLV-D2 will attempt to launch three satellites: ISRO's EOS-07, Antaris' Janus-1 from the US, and SpaceKidz's AzaadiSAT-2 from Chennai.

According to ISRO, SSLV supports the 'launch-on-demand' launch of satellites weighing up to 500 kg into low Earth orbits. It offers low launch infrastructure requirements, quick turnaround times, flexibility in housing several satellites, and affordable access to space.

Three solid propulsion stages and a velocity terminal module make up its configuration. It is a 34 m tall, 2 m in diameter, 120 tonnes liftoff vehicle.

The 156.3 kilogramme EOS-07 spacecraft was created, produced, and launched by ISRO. mm-Wave Humidity Sounder and Spectrum Monitoring Payload are two new experiments. While the 10.2 kilogramme Janus-1 satellite is owned by USA-based Antaris. AzaadiSAT-2, an 8.7 kg satellite, was created by 750 female students from all around India under the direction of Space Kidz India, Chennai.

The SSLV's maiden test flight, which took place on August 9 of last year, was partially unsuccessful since the rocket was unable to place its satellite payload into the desired orbit. The mission failed after the launch vehicle's upper stage put the satellite into a highly unstable orbit due to a deficiency in velocity, as peran ISRO study into SSLV-failure. D1's
