New Delhi: Citroen appears to be preparing to launch the C3X in India next year following the successful introduction of the C3 and C3 Aircross. In order to compete with the Volkswagen Virtus and SKODA SLAVIA on our shores, the French automaker intends to introduce the crossover sedan, according to a report from Autocar India. It's likely to be constructed using the CMP modular platform, which is unique to India.
Citroen's premium mid-size SUV, the C5 Aircross, had a very sluggish start in the Indian market. However, with the arrival of the C3 micro-SUV, eC3 EV, and C3 Aircross models on our soil, things appear to be looking up for the automaker. The company is now preparing to release the C3X crossover sedan in order to capitalise on the current streak even more.
On the outside, we anticipate the upcoming Citroen C3X to keep the C3's tough yet eccentric design language. It will have a sculpted bonnet, split-type DRL headlights mounted on the bumper, a sleek grille, the Double Chevron logo, flared wheel arches, and designer alloy wheels. Wrap-around LED taillights will be installed on the sedan's back end.

The upcoming Citroen C3X's interior has not yet been unveiled. The sedan is anticipated to have a roomy interior, a minimalist dashboard, premium materials throughout, ambient lighting, manual air conditioning with rear vents, a multifunctional steering wheel, a digital instrument panel, and a 10.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system similar to that of the C3 and C3 Aircross. Multiple airbags should be used to protect passengers.

We anticipate that the upcoming C3X will use a 1.2-liter, liquid-cooled, turbo-petrol engine from the C3 Aircross that produces 108.4 horsepower and 190 pound-feet of torque in place of the 1.2-liter, naturally aspirated unit from the C3. The crossover sedan's gearbox would probably be a 6-speed manual gearbox.

The C3X model's launch has not yet been announced by Citroen. Early in 2024 is when we anticipate the crossover sedan to make its public debut.
It is likely to have several feel-good features and a premium, upscale feel. It will, in our opinion, be appropriate for people looking for a sedan with a unique design, roomy interior, and strong engine.
