Sannapureddy is a coming-of-age story of a boy from the shepherd community of Cuddapah, based on a novel of the same name by Venkata Ramireddy. Ravi (Vaishnav Tej) is a young man who seems neither from the city nor his village. Despite being educated, he struggles to get a job in the big city because of his timid nature. He struggles during the interview and is turned down for four years.

He is also afraid to live with the sheep in the Nallamala forest, where there is always a threat of tigers. Mocked by Obu (Rakul Preet Singh) and other shepherds, he learns the way to the jungle to survive while performing 'Konda Polam'. Krish Konda does a good job of setting up the world of Polam. The universe he created deals with everything from water scarcity to thieves and deforestation.

Shepherds struggle to feed their sheep and goats, take care of them like them, and take responsibility for their lives. Ravi and Obu, who initially seem face-to-face, understand each other's world better. MM Keerwani's music is enjoyable but the BGM sometimes goes overboard instead of ending the scene. With the film at stake just before the interval, it remains to be seen how the second half pans out.
