Bikram Singh Majithia, in a backlash, said that the accusations made against him by Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu are baseless.

“In this case, it is not Special Task Force report but after seeing press conference of Mr and Mrs Sidhu, I can say it is Sidhu Team False report. It is fabricated report prepared by Sidhu and Sons,” said Bikram Singh Majithia to the media.

Sidhu, on Friday, had said that Special Task Force (STF) has found evidence against Majithia proving latter’s involvement in the drug trade in Punjab. He read out the report submitted by the STF in Punjab and Haryana High Court to the media. 

“The STF has clearly stated that there is substantial evidence of the role of Bikram Singh Majithia which needs to be probed. Punjab Government cannot ignore the facts,” Sidhu had said while addressing the media.

The rash in Punjab politics was triggered by an apology by Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal to Majithia for accusing the latter of being involved in drug trade. He said that he has realised that his allegations were unfounded and baseless, hence, he is withdrawing them and apologising for the same.
