"It is a matter of 'love jihad'…”, BJP leader Big Statement on Tunisha Sharma's Death

Popular actress Tunisha Sharma allegedly died by suicide on Saturday. The actress hanged herself on the set of a serial in Vasai in Maharashtra's Palghar district. The 20-year-old went to the washroom on the set and did not return for a long time. When the door was broken down, she was found hanging inside. Sheezan Mohammed Khan, Co-star of actor Tunisha Sharma was arrested after a case of abutment to suicide was registered against him.

Maharashtra Minister and BJP leader Girish Mahajan on Sunday speaking about the case said that it is a matter of "love jihad" and the state police are investigating the case. The minister also stressed that the Eknath Shinde government in the state is mulling bringing a strict law against "love jihad". He said, "It is a matter of 'love jihad' and police are investigating the case. We are seeing that such cases are increasing day by day and we are mulling bringing a strict law against it".

Ram Kadam said, “The family of Tunisha Sharma will get justice. We will find out if the case is linked to love jihad or not and if it’s linked, then the conspirators and organizations behind it will be exposed.”

 Mumbai police on Sunday dismisses all these Love Jihad claims. They said that Tunisha and Sheezan had a love affair and no angle of love jihad has been found in the suicide case. The police said, "Tunisha and Sheezan had a love affair. They had a breakup 15 days ago after which Tunisha committed suicide." They further added, "There's no angle of any other affair, blackmailing or 'love jihad' yet."

On the career front the actress with ‘Bharat Ka Veer Putra Maharana Pratap’ and later featured in shows such as ‘Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat’, ‘Gabbar Poonchwala’, ‘Sher-e-Punjab: Maharaja Ranjit Singh’, ‘Internet Wala Love’ and ‘Ishq Subhan Allah’. She has also featured  ‘Fitoor’, ‘Baar Baar Dekho’, ‘Kahaani 2: Durga Rani Singh’, and ‘Dabangg 3’. She film and featured in ‘Pyaar Ho Jaayega’, ‘Nainon Ka Ye Rona’ and ‘Tu Baithe Mere Samne’.
