Shikhar Dhawan has impressed the audience with his phenomenal performances with the bat. As India gears up for the biggest battle in the form of ICC World Cup 2019 this month, Dhawan is expected to have the onus of recording another stellar ICC campaign with the Indian cricket team.Speaking to TOI ahead of the England and Wales World Cup, Dhawan was asked about the aspect of his character perceived by others. In reply, Dhawan said that he prefers to camouflage his emotions and the intensity stays inside him.

Dhawan further said, "When I talk about thehrav, I still like to have fun the way I did during my Ranji days. I take my wife around for fun bike rides any time I want, " Dhawan told TOI. Dhawan enjoyed a remarkable campaign in the recently concluded Indian Premier League (IPL) and marked a successful return to his home side - Delhi Capitals (DC) with a top-four finish in the tournament. “

Dhwan further said  that there are times when he fails to do well for the country and his wife gets so excited that he needs to calm her down. "Sometimes she gets so involved and excited If I don't play well that I need to tell her, Calm down, Itna gussa toh mera coach bhi nahi hota," Dhawan said. 

Before making his debut for the Men in Blue in 2010, Dhawan used to polish his skills as a left-handed batsman at the monumental Feroz Shah Kotla ground during his early 20s. The 33-year-old has cut a frustrated figure in the past by not making to the Indian National Team at a younger age despite making groundbreaking moves in domestic cricket.
