Avengers: Endgame has done the record breaking collection in not only in India but the worldwide. The audience is loving the film but is also sad as favrouite superhero Iron Man sacrifies his life in the film. It may have been the end of the road for Robert Downey Jr's Iron Man but the actor won't feel the pinch financially, thanks to the contract he negotaited with the filmmakers a few years ago.
According to report, Robert Downey, who has been the face of Marvel Studios' money-minting Marvel Cinematic Universe, had managed to strike a "unique financial arrangement" with studio chief Kevin Feige couple of years ago. This unique deal landed him massive paychecks for the next few films.
According to the source, Downey Jr is estimated to have made at least USD 75 million in salary from last year's blockbuster Infinity War , which raked in over USD 2 billion at the global box office.
It was also revealed that for making an appearance in the 2017 film Spider-Man: Homecoming, the actor received USD 5 million per day for just three days of shooting.
All these figures are expected to be topped by Downey Jr's paycheck for Avengers: Endgame, which is currently flying at the box office everywhere. It has till now e arned USD 1.2 billion and is going strong.
Downey Jr's fellow Avengers stars - Chris Evans, Scarlett Johannson and Chris Hemsworth - also negotiated their salaries for future Marvel films.
