New Delhi: A photo of a fragmented statue of Lord Shiva has been posted in the magazine India-Centric Online Propaganda by Islamic terrorist organisation ISIS. The picture replaces lord Shiva's head with a flag of ISIS. According to media reports, the magazine reads 'It's time to eliminate false gods' under the picture.

The statue looks like a famous 123 feet high Shiva statue on the beach of Murudeshwar town in Uttar Kannada district in Karnataka. This pilgrimage site is very popular. Hindutva organisations have expressed their anger over the picture which is going viral on social media. The Karnataka government has also been put on alert after the picture surfaced and beefed up security at the Murudeshwar temple in view of the situation. Murudeshwar coastal city is located very close to Bhatkal city, which is under constant surveillance of Indian intelligence agencies. Terrorist Yasin Bhatkal is a resident of the same city.
