New Delhi:- Jack Doohan grabbed his first victory of the F2 season in style by taking the lead from pole position at the Hungaroring and setting the fastest lap in the process.

The Invicta Virtuosi Racing rider got the go-ahead he needed from pole position, sprinting past his closest rivals in the first turn and disappearing into the distance. From then on, he held the lead throughout the race and never let it go until the pit stops. His victory moved him to fifth in the drivers' standings.

Frédéric Vesti, nine seconds behind, extended his championship lead with his seventh podium of the 2023 season. Victor Martins secured 3rd place in the ART Grand Prix and moved up to 4th in the F2 class.

Ayumu Iwasa implemented an alternative strategy of starting on medium tires and switching to soft tires mid-race. The DAMS rider passed Isaac Hajar of Hi-Tech Pulse Eight in the closing stages to take fourth place.

Theo Purcher finished sixth and fell back to Vesti. The Sauber Academy driver was in contention for the podium, but was caught in traffic after a pit stop and lost fifth place to compatriot Hajar.

Dennis Hauger, who won Saturday's sprint race, secured seventh place, with Enzo Fittipaldi eighth and Rodin Carlin scoring points. 

Frédéric Vestis finished on the podium again, extending his lead in the drivers' standings over Theo Pruschere to 11 points. PREMA Racing drivers currently lead with 153 points, while ART Grand Prix drivers have 142 points. Ayumu Iwasa finished third with 132 points. Victor Martins moved up to 4th overall with 105 points and the win moved him ahead of 5th place Jack Doohan with 100 points.

Prema Racing remains the top team in the division, but ART Grand Prix has followed suit and is now level with the Italian team on 247 points. DAMS maintains 3rd place with 171 points.

"It was a great race. To be honest, it was almost perfect so I'm very happy. A really good stint with a good start and options followed by a better stint in middle media. Today everything went according to plan, the guys had a great stop and a great car. Thank you Invicta Virtuosi and I'm looking forward to the next weekend at Spa-Francorchamps."

Jack Doohan took the pole position at the Hungarian Grand Prix and also won the Grand Prix with the first position. The dominance of Jack was awesome and also the car he drives was the best.
