The Indian All-rounder, Ravindra Jadeja on Sunday while playing the final test against New Zealand got a fine named after him which will cost him 50 per cent of his match fee. The fine is made because he breached Article 2.2.11 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, which relates to 'causing avoidable damage to the pitch during an international match'," an ICC release stated.

The charges were issued because Jadeja was warned informally several times by the Umpire and officials for running in the “Danger area” of the pitch”. The centre line which is called the Danger area is a prohibited area to run on as it because damage to the pitch and hence affecting the bowling.

This action also resulted against the team as the opposition team of New Zealand was gifted 5 runs because of Jadeja’s misconduct.
