Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and Andhra Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy will not be attending Prime Minister-elect Narendra Modi's swearing-in ceremony in New Delhi on Thursday evening. Both leaders had accepted invitations to the ceremony and were expected to leave for Delhi this afternoon.

After taking the oath, Jagan hosted lunch for Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and DMK president M.K. Stalin at his Tadepalli residence. As per schedule Jagan and KCR have to go to Delhi together to attend Modi's oath-taking ceremony, but unexpectedly Jagan has canceled his tour in last minute. Two sources close to KCR claimed that the Telangana Chief Minister's flight were not getting clearance from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) to land in New Delhi between 4 pm and 7 pm. "The CMO had expected that the swearing-in ceremony will end earlier than what it did today. Due to the delay, we won't get sanction to land the flight in Delhi. There are a lot of restrictions and a lot of people flying in," a source said. Instead of flying to New Delhi, KCR left to Hyderabad from Vijayawada.

Both Jagan and KCR have not informed their flight schedule in advance, though they got a prior invitation from PM's office.

Meanwhile, the stage is set for Modi's swearing-in, and a possible list with the names of Union Ministers who will be inducted into his cabinet has also begun doing the rounds.
