New Delhi: The 'Jago' party has written a letter to the United Nations office in Delhi regarding the Hindus and Sikhs displaced from Afghanistan. In a letter written by the party's international president Manjit Singh GK to the Principal Secretary-General of the United Nations, the demand for the status of terror-displaced and appropriate compensation should be given to the people of the Hindu and Sikh communities displaced from Afghanistan.

Giving information in this regard, GK said that on Thursday, "The last displaced group from Afghanistan has also returned. Now according to our information, the historical gurudwaras and other minority religious places in Afghanistan are left unclaimed. Also, there is no one left to oversee the business and domestic properties of the displaced. Therefore, we have requested the United Nations to pay attention to this. Because anyone can accumulate illegal possession of these assets".

On this occasion, Stree Akali Dal, Delhi General Secretary and journalist Avneet Kaur Bhatia along with her colleagues, has subscribed to 'Jago'. Mandeep Kaur Bakshi, head of the GK and Kaur Brigade, joined Avneet and others in the party by adding Siropa. GK has announced appointed Avneet as the president of the party's newly formed unit 'Youth Kaur Brigade' and media advisor.
