New Delhi: The national capital's Jahangirpuri SHO Rajesh Kumar has been removed, now replacing him with the new SHO Arun Kumar. It is being told that the way there was a clash between two communities in Jahangirpuri and the Delhi Police was furious and the same has fallen on the SHO.

At the same time, the action of encroachment has been justified by the North Delhi Municipal Corporation (NMCD). Justifying its action, the North Delhi Municipal Corporation on Monday told the top court that it had sent a notice to the owner of the juice shop, but there was no response from him and due process of law was followed. The corporation's response came on a petition filed by Ganesh Gupta, whose juice shop was damaged during a drive to remove encroachments in Delhi's Jahangirpuri last month.

Ganesh Gupta had approached the Supreme Court seeking compensation. Gupta had said that his shop was authorised with all the necessary licenses. The NDMC has said that the show cause notice was served to shop owner Shakuntala Devi on March 31, 2022, before demolishing Gupta's shop. They were given time to submit documents regarding the validity within a week. However, the owner did not file any reply to the show-cause notice.
