Maharashtra: Recently, a special court said, "The prison administration cannot refuse to accept many books sent to prisoners. However, it must be ensured that the content in the book is not objectionable. Activist Sudha Bhardwaj has been arrested in the Algar Parishad case earlier. Hearing this case, a special court in its order has asked the activist to provide five books in a month in the Bayukla Women's jail. In this order, the court also said, "The jail superintendent has the right to take the right decision. '

The court said, "If they find that there is some objectionable or violent or obscene material in the book, they can reject the prayer, it comes to their right. The jail superintendent is expected to take a decision on the basis of the contents of the book. But they cannot refuse to accept the book." A petition was filed by Bhardwaj seeking a book in jail. The plea said, "on January 11, two kurtas and a book were given to the jail authorities by their acquaintance. '

In addition, the petition also said, "The jail authorities accepted the Kurte but refused to accept the book. Recently, the Special Court has issued an order keeping in view the Bombay High Court judgement in the case of former union minister George Fernandes. The special court said, "the jail superintendent should carefully examine the book and if they find some objectionable or violence or obscene material issued by a banned institution, they may refuse to accept the application of such a book.
