Mumbai: Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has arrested a Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorist in connection with the recce of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) headquarters in Nagpur. Terrorist Rais Ahmed Asadullah Sheikh did a recce of Dr. Hedgewar Smriti Bhawan complex. Nagpur ATS has detained him under production warrant from Jammu and Kashmir Police.
Rais Ahmed Asadullah Shaikh had come to Nagpur in July last year and had done Reiki at Dr. Hedgewar Smriti Bhavan complex and some other important places. Later he was arrested by the Jammu and Kashmir Police. In the interrogation of the Jammu and Kashmir Police, it was revealed that the terrorist had done recce in Nagpur at the behest of his masters sitting in the Jaish organization in Pakistan. After this, the officers of Nagpur Police also reached Kashmir and questioned him. Now Raees has been arrested by Nagpur unit of ATS for further investigation.
In fact, Rais Ahmed Asadullah Sheikh, a terrorist living in Jammu and Kashmir, had conducted a recce of the RSS office in Nagpur in 2021 at the behest of the terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed. Rais Ahmed was caught with a grenade from Pampore in Jammu and Kashmir. He had revealed in police interrogation that he had conducted recce of the RSS headquarters in Nagpur.
