England fast bowler James Anderson believes that cricket should be resumed only after the threat of the Coronavirus has ensured that players have strong security. Sports activities are stalled all over the world due to Coronavirus. Meanwhile, many cricket boards are considering restarting cricket.

Anderson, 37, said, "Any person can be frightened by this situation. There are also players in our team whose wife is pregnant. I think the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) should consider restarting cricket after ensuring the safety of the players and staff in view of the situation." He said, "We will have to talk to my family before returning to the field and I feel that I will not have any problem in playing back once the safety scale is fixed."

Reacting to the International Cricket Council's (ICC) technical committee's recommendation of a ban on the use of saliva on the ball, given the threat of coronavirus, he said bowlers need to find other options to shine the ball. Anderson said, 'This is a big thing for me because the bowler needs to shine the ball to swing the ball. After the ban on the use of oral saliva, it will be interesting to see what the ICC does instead, but at the moment I have no information about it.'
