According to ET, James McCoy Taylor, a candidate on season 12 of The Bachelorette, was detained for reportedly driving under the influence and carrying a handgun without a permit.

On September 10th, police in Katy, Texas, stopped the country singer and reality TV star. According to booking records, Taylor was detained at the College Point Police Station and posted a total bond of $6,000, including $2,000 for his DWI and $4,000 for his possession of a firearm. In his mug image, Taylor is wearing a plaid button-down shirt and can be seen grinning. He has not yet commented on the arrest in the media.

Taylor was on JoJo Fletcher's season of the well-known reality dating show, which is how fans will remember her. In the seventh week of the season, he was dismissed, and Fletcher later became engaged to Jordan Rodgers. They dated for six years before tying the knot in May of this year.

Taylor's time following his stint on The Bachelorette has not been without incident. Mike Fleiss, the show's creator, declared himself to be "exiled from Bachelor Nation" after participating in the protest march on the Capitol in Washington, D.C., against President Donald Trump's defeat in the 2020 election.

Fleiss tweeted at the time, "Whoever that former cast member/idiot jerkoff is that went to Trump’s treasonous rally, got a message for ya... You are officially exiled from #BachelorNation !!!"

'Bachelor's Rachel Lindsay co-signed Fleiss' statement, writing, “Reason #4853569536 we have to do better with casting.”
