'You can't tolerate our religion, then go somewhere else': Maulana Mahmood Madani

The Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind conference was held on the second day at Devbandha. During this time, a number of proposals were sealed by the Jamiat, including cases like The Gyanvapi Mosque and Mathura Shahi Idgah. On the second day of the conference, Jamiat President Maulana Mehmood Madani said, "There can be an agreement on everything but there can be no compromise on ideology.'' Madani said, "Interference in Shariah will not be tolerated.''

He further said, "Today is a question of our existence. Muslims already have a habit of suffering persecution. We have to save the country first. That is why we are talking about the country first, but this is also causing pain in the stomach of a lot of people. If they talk about nationalism, then it is right, but if we talk about it, it is called a sham. If our lives are lost to protect this country, it will be a matter of good fortune for us. Madani said in his address, "Where do they see the hatred in our accent from? We don't scare you do the work of scaring. We are not non-existent, we belong to this country, this is our country. We will fulfil our responsibility for our country. Our ways of eating and drinking are different. If you can't tolerate our religion, go somewhere else. They say on the slightest thing that go to Pakistan. We had a chance, but we rejected it.''

Apart from this, in this meeting of Jamiat, Madani said, "We had planted thousands of trees from Rishikesh to Delhi. Trees were planted in temples, mosques and schools. We have to run a similar campaign this rainy season. People will speak, they will write. But don't care about it. He further said that we are meeting here after a very long time.''
