Srinagar: Three Special Police Officers (SPOs) and one police personnel, who were kidnapped by terrorists in Shopian, South Kashmir on Thursday, has been found dead.

The bodies of martyred personnel were recovered early Friday in South Kashmir. The abducted policemen were from Kapran and Batagund areas.

Those abducted were recognized  as Firdous Ahmad Kuchey and Kuldeep Singh – both residents of Batgund Shopian, and Nisar Ahmad Dhobi and Fayaz Ahmad Bhat, residents of Kapran.

Nisar Ahmad is the brother of a policeman and was released just a few moments ago.

A very big manhunt was launched earlier to trace them. Worth mention here Last week terrorists released 11 family members of policemen with a word of warning for the security forces target the family members of the militants after some kins of terrorists were held after several raids across the valley.

According to the reports Hizbul Mujahideen commander Riyaz Naikoo had claimed responsibility for the abductions in a 12-minute video, issuing a three-day deadline for the release of all relatives of terrorists who were in police detention.
