Jammu: Two consecutive blasts occurred in the air force jurisdiction at a high-security airport in Jammu in the wee hours of Sunday. The Indian Air Force, along with NIA and other agencies, is investigating whether it was a terror attack. The investigating officers are also investigating the possible use of drones in dropping explosives in the technical area of the airport. According to sources, two suspicious arrests have also taken place.

Officials said the first blast took place around 1.40 am, causing the roof of a building to collapse in the technical area of the airport. The air force takes over the monitoring of the site and the second blast took place on the ground after five minutes. According to sources, two Air Force personnel sustained minor injuries in the blast.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh's office said he has spoken to Air Marshal HS Arora, deputy chief of the Air Force, in connection with the blast. The Indian Air Force tweeted that two low-intensity explosions were reported in the technical area of Jammu Air Force Station in the early hours of Sunday. One of the blasts caused minor damage to the roof of one building, while the other exploded in the open area. In another tweet, the Indian Air Force said, "No equipment was harmed. The investigation is being carried out in collaboration with civil agencies.''
