Srinagar: The biggest reaction was to the Kashmir Valley after Section 370 was removed from Jammu and Kashmir. The area in the state has been sensitive since the beginning. So, after the announcement, the government imposed a number of restrictions in the valley. The Government is now eyeing immediate effective measures in the Valley. The government is identifying all the schemes whose results can be seen on the ground immediately. The Union Home Ministry has asked all ministries to select all such schemes and explore the possibility of faster implementation in the state.

There is a continuous brainstorming in the Government on the situation arising after the expiry of Section 370 in the State. Addressing a similar meeting last week, Home Minister Amit Shah held a meeting of all the ministers of the central government and stressed on the participation of all ministries in the development of Kashmir. Amit Shah has asked all ministers to identify the schemes and work out a roadmap for their implementation in the state. The Ministers who could not attend the meeting were briefed later by another senior Union Minister.

The central ministries in Jammu and Kashmir, particularly in the Valley, are considered to be of great importance, including the Ministry of Petroleum, Minority Affairs and Human Resource Development. The Government is very much excited about the successful implementation of the Ujjwala scheme of the Petroleum Ministry in the rest of the country. The Ministry has, therefore, been asked to explore the possibility of speedy implementation of the scheme in the Valley. Sources say that similarly, the Ministry of Minority Affairs is focusing on schemes like scholarships given to student students. The Government is very much aware of the peace and tranquility of the Valley.
