Jammu and Kashmir: 2 Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists arrested from Handwara

Srinagar: Police have alerted the security system after the killing of three activists, including Bharatiya Janata Party Yuva Morcha (BJYM) general secretary Fida Hussain, in Kulgam district of Jammu and Kashmir. Meanwhile, police have arrested two suspects during a search operation at Chinar Park in Handwara. The suspected terrorists arrested belong to the Lashkar-e-Taiba.

On giving information about this, the Jammu and Kashmir Police said on Friday that during the search at Chinar Park in Handwara, police arrested two people. During interrogation, it was revealed that both the terrorist organizations are working for Lashkar-e-Taiba and were supposed to deliver arms and ammunition among the militants in South Kashmir. Police have also recovered two guns, mobile phones and a lot of live cartridges from the possession of these terrorists.

Fida Hussain, Omar Hajam and Omar Rashid Baig were shot dead by terrorists in Yai Pora area of Kulgam district late Thursday. The victims were rushed to a local hospital in Qazigund where doctors declared them dead. The Resistance Front (TRF), considered a masked organization of terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba, has claimed responsibility for these killings.
