Srinagar: Security is on alert after the removal of Section 370 in Kashmir. They have a keen eye on all kinds of activities. In Kashmir, a joint team of Army, CRPF and SOG have launched a search operation following information about the presence of two terrorists in Baramulla district. The militants opened fire on the security forces after they opened fire on them. The exchange of fire has been going on since then. The terrorists and their Assistant Over Ground Workers (OGWs) have gone underground due to heavy pressure from the security forces.

The security forces have devised a strategy to make it untasked with the common people. This has also led to a decrease in the incidents of stone-pelting. According to information available with the security agencies, 300 terrorists are currently active in the Valley. The number of OGWs is more than six thousand. It is the OGW which helps the terrorists and promotes violence and stone-pelting in the Valley.

The security forces could not create a disturbance due to the sharp eye on their activities. Reports say the movement of terrorists has been completely stopped due to pressure from the security forces. They have left the village and moved to safer places. Many OGWs have even moved out of the valley.

Before the removal of Section 370, when additional security forces were sent to Jammu and Kashmir earlier this month, almost the crackdown on terrorist organizations and separatists had begun. On the 4th of August, the security forces extended their reach to the flats. Normal life is gradually returning to normal life in the valley.
